We are seeking a part-time Clinical Funding Officer to join our team. This role offers 32 hours per fortnight, providing an opportunity to make a real difference for the people we care for and each other.
About the Role
As a Clinical Funding Officer, you will be responsible for:
* Liaising with carers and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation of resident care needs and time, supporting funding classifications and staffing.
* Supporting staff with resources and knowledge of funding systems, raising concerns with the Clinical Manager.
* Upskilling residential aged care staff through training sessions on funding processes.
* Providing ongoing education via toolbox sessions and incorporating them into new employee induction programs.
* Monitoring resident conditions, clinical meetings, feedback, and reclassification opportunities, including attending relevant meetings and reviewing documentation.
* Tracking residents' data, including movements, Medicare events, and AN-ACC lodgments.
* Participating in the admission process, including pre-screening, funding predictions, assessments, and communication with the clinical team.
* Reviewing assessments and care plans to ensure they reflect residents' needs for AN-ACC classification.
* Delivering high-quality documentation, reporting, and tracking, and monitoring occupancy and resident movements.
* Completing required forms and KPIs for resident screening and reclassification requests weekly.
* Engaging with internal stakeholders via meetings and communication.
* Performing assessments during AMO visits, ensuring staff are prepared.
