About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected local provider of transport services in the Newcastle area. There are multiple driver positions available based in Newcastle, NSW 2300. A variety of Weekday and Weekend work hours on offer. Flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle.
What you'll be doing
1. Safely operate vehicles- fleet ranges from small vehicles (5-seats) to buses (25-seats) along designated routes, adhering to timetables, road rules and site regulations.
2. Provide friendly and respectful customer service to all passengers.
3. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any maintenance issues.
4. Maintain accurate vehicle inspection logs and other documentation.
5. Maintain the vehicle in a clean condition and refuel when required.
6. Contribute to a positive team environment and support the overall success of the operations.
What we're looking for
Vehicles 12-seats or less
1. Valid Australian driver's licence (unrestricted).
2. Passenger Transport Licence Code (or willingness to obtain).
3. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
4. Excellent knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices.
5. Friendly demeanour with the ability to interact with passengers of all backgrounds.
6. Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible shifts, when needed.
7. Commitment to safety and a clean driving record.
Vehicles 13-seats or more
1. Valid Australian driver's licence (light rigid, LR or above).
2. Current NSW Bus Driver Authority (BDA) or willingness to obtain.
3. Minimum 2 years' experience driving a heavy vehicle.
4. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
5. Excellent knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices.
6. Friendly demeanour with the ability to interact with passengers of all backgrounds.
7. Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible shifts, when needed.
8. Commitment to safety and a clean driving record.
