Locum Mental Health Nurse opportunity with Serco in Australia supporting active Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. Deliver high quality, evidence-based mental health services within a multidisciplinary team.
About Us: ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare to ADF personnel. Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provides defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally.
About The Role: As the Locum Mental Health Nurse, you'll deliver high quality, evidence-based mental health services to clients, including risk assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, medication management, and additional support services as required. You will receive robust support for crisis management, risk assessment, and risk management planning from the multidisciplinary team and the Senior Mental Health team for your region.

You have a strong commitment to patient care, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting individuals in their mental health journey. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions, offer support and comfort to patients, promote mental and emotional wellbeing, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure integrated and holistic care.

As The Ideal Applicant, You Will Have
- A current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with AHPRA.
- Credentialing with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN), or a minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, or relevant international equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years\' full-time (or part-time equivalent) post-graduate experience in mental health, including comprehensive assessments and delivery of evidence-based Focused Psychological Strategies as per the Medicare Schedule.
- A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
- Familiarity with relevant State/Territory policies, national standards, and the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy (preferred).
- Recent CPD activities, with a minimum of 10 hours directly related to mental health, aligned with AHPRA guidelines.
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
