Woods & Co Recruitment have teamed up with Melbourne’s up-and-coming hospitality group in search for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of one of Melbourne’s number-one Japanese BBQ and Izakaya-style dining destinations.

What do you do?
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations with energy and precision.
- Execute creative Japanese BBQ and Izakaya-style menus to maintain consistency, quality and high-standards.
- Operate Yakiniku grills and assist diners with premium table-top cooking experiences.
- Mentor, train and inspire a strong BOH team.
- Oversee food costing, stock control and supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and OH&S; regulations.
What do you need?
- 2+ years experience as Head Chef in traditional Japanese cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese techniques, ingredients and flavour profiles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in high-volume kitchens whilst maintaining quality.
- Strong financial and organisational acumen.
- Passion for Japanese food!
