The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and coaching the sales team to achieve the club's growth.
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for taking ownership and building a club environment that people love.
Drive sales for Fernwood's comprehensive range of health and fitness memberships to new and existing clients.
Report on the results of all enquiries generating activity as required. Starting conversations and building genuine connections.
What you'll be doing
You're a natural leader and people-person who thrives on:
Responsible for leading, motivating, and coaching the sales team to achieve and exceed club sales targets, overseeing and ensuring club growth is achieved.
Undertake 'outreach' activities to drive enquiries from businesses and the local area community.
Actively engage with potential members to understand their fitness goals and recommend the most suitable Fernwood membership.
Your day‑to‑day will include:
Foster a culture of accountability and ownership of results, ensuring the team is actively following up on all opportunities arising from enquiries, referrals and 'tours not joined', achieving KPI's with authenticity and passion.
Leading and mentoring a small team of sales consultants, ensuring the team meets all sales and growth targets.
Strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills to handle customer inquiries effectively.
Provide ongoing coaching, role‑playing, and skills development. Review sales statistics regularly and help your team set up their day for success.
Ensure processes are followed from Enquiry to Tour to Sale as per the Fernwood Sales Manual to achieve personal and business success.
What we're looking for
Highly motivated and driven to achieve team sales targets.
Passion for health, fitness and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all Fernwood members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
Flexible and available to work a mix of mornings, late afternoons/early evenings.
Previous experience in sales, ideally within the fitness or health and wellness industry.
