Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 Citizen EL1 equivalent Hybrid Key duties and responsibilities Work with the Program leadership team and representatives from the agency and the partner agencies to plan and develop communications for the Program Liaise with and build trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders by forming strategic working relationships to support the effective functioning Develop the communication strategy in line with the vision, mission and strategic priorities Review and approve high-quality communications plans Oversee the production and coordination of quality and timely communications products and services Liaise with and coordinate communications products and services with multiple partners agencies and key program stakeholders Drive successful communication outcomes by working effectively with the program team, the leadership team, the executive, the board, committees and working groups. Evaluate, develop or revise processes and reporting mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of communications Develop generic and specific communication products that can be used to engage stakeholders Brief staff on the use of communication products and arrange rehearsals where necessary Design, implement and educate staff on the use of a communications log/system Establish and ensure stakeholders have access to current materials and a view of the consultation schedule Use well-developed written and verbal communication skills to develop briefings for senior internal and external stakeholders. Essential Criteria 1. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to formulate strategic communication plans tailored to audience needs, with proven results in achieving the agency’s communication objective. 2. Significant experience in a program or agency communications role (preferably in a government environment at the state, territory or Federal level) including exceptional skills in briefing and communicating with a wide range of audiences, including senior executives. 3. Experience in managing and coordinating external service providers to produce quality, timely and cost-effective outcomes. 4. Experience working with multiple stakeholders on large work programs in a multi-agency, preferably a multi-jurisdictional environment. 5. Formal qualification in communications or a communications-related field
