About this opportunity: The Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting Engineers, Civil Designers and Landscape Architects by undertaking basic drafting and tracing, and preparing plans based on designs and sketches. The position ensures all tasks including record keeping are undertaken in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Provisions and Council Policy and Objectives. Under general direction, the position also provides CAD and technical support to the in-house design team, including but not limited to engineering and landscape. Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills: QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent. Current General Construction Safety "White" Card. Certificate III in Civil Engineering will be highly regarded Experience in drafting, penwork and tracing form proposed drawings and sketches. Basic experience in Computer Aided Drafting using basic 12D and intermediate AutoCAD software level. Why work for Mackay Regional Council?
