**ABOUT THE POSITION**:

We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team in the Sunshine Coast. This is a full-time position.
Daily responsibilities will keep you busy maintaining, fixing, and adjusting various machinery within our materials recovery facility (MRF). The tasks range from greasing and repair conveyer belts, through to welding what's required. We heavily rely on our Maintenance team to ensure each shift operates without obstacles and minimised downtime.
**What will you do?**
- Help create and identify any quantifiable opportunities for improvement in processes and equipment thereby adding value to the Re.Group site.
- Function as resource for the site to support operations through the ability to read and understand OEM Technical manuals and drawings. Support planning and reporting function with our business systems.
- Record maintenance and repairs activity to ensure record management is completed and up to date.
- Record and maintain spare parts usage and stock ordering
- Support the site through planned PM's and Corrective repairs when required.
- Support additional repairs and maintenance when the plant is non-operational, afternoon shifts or weekend repairs.
- Plan and schedule additional repairs outside business hours to ensure the plant is available to run through normal business hours.
- Support the site where required with both mechanical and fabrication as repairs require
- Supervise external maintenance contractors when working on site
- Drive a high level of Safety on site, including LOTO, and high risk Permits to Work
**Why you?**
- You have a Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical trade
- You must be competent in the mechanical maintenance & repair of processing equipment
- You have experience with automated equipment within manufacturing and/or processing environments (preferred)
- You have an understanding of the product/service/function of a MRF
- You have experience in the use of maintenance software and Preventative Maintenance (advantage)
- You are able to drive and lead in Health & Safety compliance
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have experience and interest in mentoring, coaching, and training
- You think about safety first
- You have a 'can do' attitude
- You can work overtime, weekends, and/or public holidays if required
