The Opportunity
Our Western Family Violence Service specializes in providing expert support to individuals affected by family violence through The Orange Door (Central Highlands Region).
The core function of The Orange Door is:
* To establish a visible and accessible contact point for service users.
* To identify family violence and child wellbeing concerns.
* Support access to justice and legal assistance.
* Offer advice based on contemporary risk assessment tools and guidance.
* Provide specialized support and tailored advice for victims, families, and children, as well as perpetrators.
* Facilitate and coordinate access to relevant services.
* Ensure a comprehensive understanding of service capacity, client experience, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
The Team Leader - Specialist Family Violence will oversee and support a highly skilled team in screening, assessing, triaging, and responding to incoming referrals.
The Team Leader will supervise and support a multi-disciplinary team, providing direction and support staff to conduct thorough and in-depth risk assessments.
About You
Applicants should hold a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or possess equivalent experience in the family violence sector.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to reflect on and analyze complex situations, adapt to change, and collaborate with partners and stakeholders effectively.
Additionally, applicants should have experience in a leadership role, including supervising staff.
