We're on the hunt for a Junior Payroll Officer with ambition to join our high-performing National Payroll team, supporting 25,000+ employees across Australia while gaining hands-on experience with Workday, one of the world's leading payroll platforms. What You'll Be Doing
You'll be right in the action, learning end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced, high-volume environment:
* Assist with weekly payroll processing (Workday Payroll)
* Maintain employee data — new starters, changes, terminations
* Work with Time & Attendance data (LIFELENZ)
* Get exposure to complex payroll calculations:
* Annual, personal, parental & long service leave
* Workers compensation
* Support month-end and year-end payroll activities
* Interpret Awards & EBAs (and actually understand them, not just tick boxes)
* Assist with reconciliations (super, payroll tax, YTD)
* Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
What You Bring
* 1–2 years payroll experience (high-volume is a bonus)
* Basic understanding of payroll legislation, tax, Awards/EBAs
* Strong attention to detail (you spot what others miss)
* Team player who can juggle priorities with the right attitude
Bonus Points If You Have
* Exposure to Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems
* Payroll qualifications (Cert/Diploma)
