Our Port Melbourne branch is looking for a Rental Technician / Warehouse Assistant to join the team. You will be critical in keep our rental equipment moving smoothly to and from customer sites in this fast-paced environment.
Your role will combine warehouse experience, or a junior/entry-level technician who enjoys practical work with the additional benefit of developing your electronics and radio skills. You will be hands on in the warehouse managing incoming and outgoing rental sales and returns while also assisting in the cleaning, programming and administration to ensure that customer is receiving the highest level of quality and customer service.
About the role
You'll be part of a busy logistics and operations team, responsible for preparing, checking, and maintaining rental equipment.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Picking, packing, and preparing rental equipment for dispatch
* Checking returned equipment against contracts and reporting any issues
* Cleaning and maintaining equipment to a high standard
* Inspecting radios and equipment for faults or damage
* Organising and putting away stock safely in the warehouse
* Assisting with battery testing, charging, and basic maintenance
* Updating records using company systems
* Coordinating customer pickups, deliveries, and courier bookings
* Working closely with sales, logistics, and technical teams
About you
You don't need to be an expert — training will be provided. We're more interested in the right attitude.
Ideally, you'll have:
* Experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or technician assistant role
* Good attention to detail and pride in your work
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
* Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset
* An interest in electronics, radio communications, or technical equipment (highly regarded, not essential)
