We're working with a well-established residential building company based in Eagle Farm, seeking an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
This is a hands-on role that works closely with the operational side of the business and supports live construction projects.
The role
You'll be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping and financial support across the business, including:
* Job costing and project cost tracking
* Progress claims and client invoicing
* Accounts payable and receivable
* Payroll (STP, super, allowances)
* BAS and GST compliance
* Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations
* Supporting cash flow reporting and forecasting
* Liaising with external accountants
What we're looking for
* Experience working for a residential builder or construction business
* Solid understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
* Payroll experience, including STP and super
* BAS and GST knowledge
* Highly organised, accurate, and comfortable working autonomously
Nice to have
* Experience with construction software (e.g. Databuild)
* Exposure to progress billing and retention accounting
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Bookkeeping / Accounting
