About the role
Apoyo Health Service is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist to join our dedicated team in Hobart, Tasmania. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our clients' rehabilitation and recovery, and will involve working closely with our multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
What you'll be doing
* Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' physical, cognitive, and communication needs
* Developing and implementing personalised treatment plans to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals
* Providing occupational therapy and speech therapy interventions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment training
* Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to client care
* Maintaining detailed client records and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services
* Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
What we're looking for
* A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and/or Speech Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist and/or Speech Therapist
* Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role within the healthcare or rehabilitation sector
* Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive client assessments and developing tailored treatment plans
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to effectively manage complex client cases
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services
