Remote Strategic Program Management role based in the Kimberley region

Our client is one of the oldest and largest Aboriginal Resource Agency's in the Kimberley. Their primary aim is to provide support services to existing and emerging groups in the Fitzroy Valley and to assist them to develop strong and sustainable communities and organisations.
**Your new role**
We are seeking a General Manager of Programs to join the organisation on a permanent basis. Reporting to the CEO, the GM of Programs is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of a range of functions. The position contributes to the organisation by ensuring that contractual requirements around social services are met in addition to other requirements requested by the CEO.
Key programs this role will oversee:
- Community Development Program
- Remote School Attendance Program
- Housing Management and Tenancy Support
- Waste Management Social Enterprise
This role is responsible for managing in excess of 50 staff across all program portfolios. You will be responsible for providing necessary training and development of staff. Evaluating training needs as/ when required.
To be successful in this role a background in Community Development/Engagement is critical. You will showcase previous experience working with remote community groups, understanding and accessing various funding models, the ability to lead and develop large teams, ability to prepare and present to the board on a range of issues, where effective communication is key.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous Upper Management experience
- Working with remote community groups & First Nation people
- Previous experience working in Community Development/ Engagement
- Previous experience preparing and presenting board reports
- Understanding of Funding/ How to access various funding models
- **Ability to work remote on a permanent basis**
**What you'll get in return**
