About the Role
Ready to lead a high-impact, business-wide transformation in one of Australia's fastest-evolving energy markets?
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Change Manager to support our Retail division through a critical transformation journey. This is a pivotal role within the Retail Core Project (CRP), where you will be responsible for developing and executing a holistic change management and adoption strategy that prioritises employee preparedness and exceptional customer experience. You will help ensure the core retail platform successfully unlocks critical capability in support of Snowy Hydro's strategic purpose. This is a full-time fixed term role for the duration of the project based in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and guide the Retail business through the transformation, ensuring the change management and adoption strategy is successfully executed.
* Provide strategic oversight in collaboration with the Functional Project Director to ensure change initiatives are fully aligned with program objectives, leading to an effective business-wide change roadmap.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the Programme Manager and key stakeholders, providing readiness insights to inform decision-making.
* Oversee the integration of program and business unit plans, driving accountability for delivery across leaders.
* Champion the customer experience, ensuring minimal disruption during transition and maintaining high service levels through coordinated messaging and readiness planning.
* Oversee the successful embedding of new processes and ways of working across the business, monitoring adoption rates and escalating risks early for timely mitigation.
* Proactively engage SMT and stakeholders to secure cross-functional integration and alignment, ensuring the change management program is a cohesive element of the Retail Core Project.
What You'll Bring to the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader with a proven track record in complex transformation environments. Specifically, you will have:
* Deep Change Expertise - Significant experience overseeing large-scale, business-wide change initiatives, ideally within utilities, energy, or similarly complex regulated sectors. This includes demonstrated success in governing enterprise-level change, integrating across program and BAU operations, and driving the successful adoption of new technology platforms at scale.
* Strategic Leadership & Influence - A strategic leadership style that takes a whole-of-business view and provides clear direction across multiple streams. You must possess strong influencing skills, be credible with senior leaders, and be adept at driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
* People-Focused - Ensuring a people-centric approach is embedded in every change initiative. Guaranteeing that customer outcomes remain central throughout the business transformation journey.
* Assurance-Driven - Concentrating on robust oversight, governance, and risk management rather than detailed design.
