Reporting to the GM – Marketing, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on marketer to lead all brand marketing initiatives for the IXL brand and new product categories across both domestic and international markets. You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, co-ordination and execution of all above and below the line activities, retail and trade marketing, eCommerce and digital, pricing analysis and budget management.
Working closely with the GM – Marketing, GM- Sales, Product Development Manager and our agency partners, you will play a critical role in driving the IXL brand for growth and delivering on key objectives.
As Senior Brand Manager in a high growth area of the business, you will also champion innovation – identifying, evaluating and launching new product & category opportunities. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to gain cross-functional support, to bring ideas to market, quickly and effectively.
Key responsibilities and involvement include, but are not limited to:
Conduct brand funnel research to identify growth and opportunities for the brand.
Conduct segmentation research and identify key insights and market opportunities
Assist with the development of the annual brand plan, working through the diagnosis of the market, brand strategy and tactical execution.
Work with our agency partners and internal teams to implement the tactical activities as identified in the brand plan. This may include content creation, POS and collateral management, working with our key partners on campaign delivery, research analysis, product launches & events.
Conduct competitor analysis and activity tracking
Assist with various monthly/quarterly reports
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers (PR, Media Agency and Digital Agency) as required, to deliver on the brand plans
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior brand or product role.
Tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Business/Marketing, or equivalent) with a sound understanding of brand marketing.
Highly self-motivated, persuasive and passionate influencer of team members and other business stakeholders, with excellent presentation skills.
An eye for detail with the ability to multi-task, running multiple projects simultaneously.
Proactive, positive attitude with a strong bias for action in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally, you are someone that has experience in a brand role with a solid understanding of marketing strategy and activity execution, whether you have gained this knowledge at a recent brand role or you are keen to reignite your marketing skills after some time out of the workforce, you may be who we are looking for.
