About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead with strong expertise in ReactJS, NodeJS, and cloud technologies.
You will operate as both an individual contributor and a technical leader, guiding a dedicated squad through the design, planning, and execution of modern web and platform solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining deep technical work with leadership responsibilities—setting technical standards, architecting systems, mentoring developers, and driving high-quality engineering outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a squad to deliver sprint objectives and planned work.
* Ensure Agile processes and delivery best practices are consistently followed.
* Collaborate with BAs, QAs, and developers to groom, estimate, and scope solutions.
* Remove blockers for developers and maintain delivery flow from "In Progress" to "Ready for Prod".
* Distribute work fairly to create learning opportunities for all squad members.
* Provide input on feasibility, effort, and risk in business discussions.
* Create and run Proof of Concepts (POCs) to de-risk complex tasks.
* Contribute as a hands-on developer each sprint.
* Architect solutions that are scalable, reliable, automated, and cost-efficient.
* Continuously improve technical KPIs such as throughput, error rates, latency, and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
* 8+ years of hands-on software development in ReactJS, NodeJS, or a full-stack environment.
* 2+ years experience in a technical leadership role leading 3+ developers.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (grooming, planning, retros, etc.).
* Excellent communication skills with experience coaching and mentoring developers.
* Experience designing and building secure, scalable, high-availability systems.
* Experience deploying and maintaining applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Intermediate knowledge of cloud infrastructure, microservices, distributed systems, and ETL flows.
* Familiarity with common high-availability patterns such as queues, tiered caching, and containerisation.
* Practical understanding of DevOps principles including CI/CD automation and observability.
Nice to Have
* Conceptual understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CDK).
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
* Experience with ORMs such as Eloquent, Sequelize, or Prisma.
* Experience building GraphQL APIs using a framework such as Apollo.
* Experience building REST APIs using Serverless, SST, or Laravel.
