Cloud Operations Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Subject Matter Expert to oversee the administration, deployment, and optimisation of cloud environments across multiple platforms.
This role involves managing day-to-day cloud operations, implementing best practices for security and compliance, and driving continual improvement across multi-cloud environments.
* Manage and maintain cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and VMware, supporting day-to-day operations and improvements.
* Work with internal teams and stakeholders to deploy, configure, and optimise cloud solutions.
* Use monitoring tools to keep systems running smoothly and efficiently.
* Support identity management and security controls, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloud platforms, familiarity with key services in AWS and Azure, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
The successful candidate will also have exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools and scripting languages, understanding of cloud networking principles and security best practices, and ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
What You'll Need:
* Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and M365.
* Familiarity with key services in AWS (like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) and Azure (such as Compute, Networking, Azure AD).
* Some hands-on experience with VMware environments.
* Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM) and scripting (Bash or PowerShell).
* A proactive approach to troubleshooting and a willingness to learn new technologies.
* Understanding of cloud networking principles and security best practices.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and contribute to team goals.
* An active NV1 security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
