What You'll Be Doing
Deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation to address the needs of consumers with complex mental health problems and disorders. The role also participates in evaluating clinical outcomes, contributing to education and training programs, and supervising psychologists and other disciplines within the LHD as required.
Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney, catering to children, adolescents, adults, and older persons. Multidisciplinary teams offer mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy, working with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to deliver holistic care.
How To Apply
* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification (no less than two years full-time duration or recognised equivalent).
* Describe a time you provided a complex clinical assessment and intervention using evidence-based therapeutic techniques for an older adult; explain tailoring to individual needs and outcomes.
* Describe contributions to development or supervision of others in a clinical setting (supervision to psychologists or students, multidisciplinary teams, or leading quality improvement or research initiatives).
* Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). If you hold a NSW license from another state, you must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
