The Role
As a Graduate Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals. You will also assist with BAS, GST, FBT, and payroll compliance. Additionally, you will support clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting solutions (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
Key Responsibilities include:
* Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns;
* Assistance with BAS, GST, FBT, and payroll compliance;
* Supporting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting solutions;
* Conducting reconciliations and maintaining accurate client records;
* Liaising with clients to gather information and provide exceptional service;
* Staying up-to-date with tax legislation and accounting standards.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field;
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to accounting software;
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
