Electrical Lead Engineer Job Description
A leading utility company is seeking experienced electrical lead engineers to work on water infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in detailed electrical engineering requirements, technical oversight, and collaboration with cross-functional departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the review of detailed electrical engineering requirements for water treatment and desalination plant designs.
* Provide technical oversight during the bidding process, including the evaluation and assessment of proposed electrical systems and procedures.
* Coordinate with cross-functional departments to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and improve bid quality.
* Support the bidding team in standardisation tasks and contribute to the development of consistent technical approaches.
* Conduct detailed electrical system optimisation for water treatment projects.
* Prepare electrical equipment data sheets and perform technical tabulations for desalination plant components.
* Review technical documentation post-purchase and ensure alignment with project specifications.
Additional responsibilities include extracting and communicating key technical information from bid documents, proposing technical improvements to enhance bid competitiveness and feasibility, preparing and contributing to significant portions of client proposals, presentations, and defences, maintaining accurate and effective documentation throughout the bid and project phases, building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors, and supervising and guiding assigned team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
