About the Role
Located in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast, the Graceville Centre provides support to individuals living with a mental illness and/or disability. All services are conducted in a strength‐based and recovery‐focused framework. The Centre operates seven programs that provide support on site or in clients' homes. The service is growing and offers internal career opportunities.
As a Support Worker with a lived experience of recovery, you will work across multiple programs helping clients increase independence, maintain wellness and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Provide flexible, client‐tailored support.
* Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, ensuring dignity and independence.
* Encourage community participation and social engagement.
* Support skill development and independence‐building activities.
* Work collaboratively with case managers and other stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate documentation of client care and interactions.
What You Bring to the Team
* Identify as having a lived experience of recovery.
* Understanding of lived experience concepts and contemporary research.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients and families.
* A valid Queensland driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle for transport (if required).
* A valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card.
