Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests, and performing essential clerical and coordination tasks. This role serves as the central point of information and communication management within the office, ensuring smooth operations and efficient executive support.
Typical Day in the Role
- Oversee general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping.
- Review and approve invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other corporate documents.
- Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine priority and distribution.
- Prepare agendas and coordinate logistics for committee, board, and other meetings.
- Arrange travel and support meeting planning (approximately 6–8 domestic trips per year).
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to multitask and provide excellent customer service.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Highly organized with strong attention to confidentiality and information management.
- Skilled in event planning and coordination.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities to provide constructive support and feedback.
- Experience with general computer applications and productivity tools.
- Agility and experience in stable, rapid-paced environments; IT industry experience preferred.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Prior experience supporting executives is essential.
