Would you like to deploy your strong operational skills in a positive, for-purpose organisation? Playgroup Australia is seeking an experienced Administration Manager to ensure the smooth running of its operations and support the good governance of the organisation.

Playgroup Australia is a national body that represents and supports the outstanding work carried out on the ground by State and Territory Playgroup organisations across the country. Playgroup Australia promotes the work of its members, advocates for greater investment in playgroup programs and manages important funding streams.
**About the job**:
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the operational and governance work of Playgroup Australia.
- Monitor reporting requirements for Playgroup Australia's contracts with funding bodies.
- Manage relationships with service providers, including for accounting, human resources and IT services.
- Prepare regular or ad hoc reports on operations (for example, monthly financial reports).
- Provide secretariat support to the Playgroup Australia Board, through scheduling meetings, sending out papers and preparing minutes.
- Maintain policy and procedural documentation.
- Identify areas for improvement and solve problems.
- Coordinate project tasks within budget and timelines.
**About you**:
You're a highly organised person who thrives in an environment with lots of challenge, variety and reward. You ideally have a relevant post-school qualification and at least five years' experience in similar administrative roles, as well as a strong capacity and experience in day-to-day contract management in a small organisation. Experience working or volunteering in a not-for-profit organisation will be highly regarded.
You'll need to have a practical, flexible approach to work, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with strong time management skills and the ability to hold yourself to account.
You also have well-developed IT skills (Microsoft Office suite), and experience in taking minutes for Boards / Committees or similar. You will need to be available for Board and Committee meetings outside of ordinary office hours, including evenings and weekends, but these can usually be conducted remotely.

Hours are flexible (to around 25 per week), across several days of the week. Additionally, we offer a competitive salary, around the $90K fulltime equivalent rate per year (plus super).
