Take the lead in delivering exceptional outcomes for professional indemnity claims. In this role, you'll manage complex matters with precision and care, ensuring results that align with customer expectations and financial objectives while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Australia.
What You'll Do
* Lead the resolution process for claims through legal defence, negotiated settlement, or litigation.
* Provide clear direction to legal practitioners on litigated matters.
* Negotiate directly with brokers, insureds, and third-party claimants on non-litigated claims.
* Achieve cost-effective outcomes that balance risk and customer needs.
* Set accurate reserves and maintain meticulous claims administration.
* Deliver outstanding service that reflects the full protection of CGU policies.
* Collaborate proactively to support CGU's ambition to lead in the intermediated insurance space.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum 2 years PQE or extensive practical experience with insurer in managing complex professional risk claims, including litigation and settlements.
* Skilled in handling litigated and non-litigated matters, mediations, and achieving favourable resolutions.
* Strong background in legal, insurance, or regulatory environments, with a focus on professional indemnity.
* Capable of overseeing claims from initial notification through to final resolution, including litigated & regulatory matters.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality service while engaging effectively with brokers, legal professionals, and internal teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims in a fast-paced setting.
