Join to apply for the Office Manager role at Bendigo Advertiser.
Say goodbye to long commutes and hello to a role that’s challenging, wide-ranging, and right in your backyard. As a Lake Macquarie local you’re tired of the daily commute into Newcastle or the Central Coast. Finally, an exciting opportunity for you, right on your doorstep. Join a fast-growing business where your impact is real, not just ticking boxes, but shaping how the office runs and influencing key business decisions. This role grows with you, letting you take on more responsibility. Expand your skills, and see your work make a tangible difference every day. You’ll work autonomously but never alone. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team that values trust over micromanagement. Expect variety: AP, AR, payroll, admin, and keeping the day‑to‑day of a busy, hands‑on office running like clockwork. As Office Manager, you’ll be the backbone of the office, keeping everything running smoothly while taking the lead on finance and admin.
You’ll manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and data entry in Xero, making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Alongside this, you’ll handle phones, emails, filing, document management, and job scheduling, while keeping field staff coordinated and supporting the leadership team with ad hoc operational and project tasks. You’ll also maintain job records, service logs, project documentation, and HSEQ paperwork. No two days are the same, from crunching the numbers to keeping the office humming, you’ll be at the heart of it all.
