We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to our Alcohol and Other Drugs Services (AODS) team.
The Clinical Nurse role is to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The Clinical Nurse (CN) is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Assumes responsibility for professional leadership for a ward, service or unit in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7.
* Provides leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate care to particular recipients of healthcare services.
* Actively participate in the intake team, assessing the right pathway for the consumer to engage in, getting a triage assessment of their drug and alcohol history, the risk profile and the urgency of the referral.
* Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
Salary rates: $56.08 - $60.05 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) [Nurse Grade 6 (1)] (part time position available, 50.92 hrs p.f.)
