KOTZUR GROUP is a market leading engineering and fabrication business with over 200 employees based in Toowoomba, Qld and Walla Walla, NSW.
With a strong focus on innovation and quality, Kotzur has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective solutions for our clients, specialising in the provision of bulk solids storage and handling facilities for the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our team in Toowoomba, Queensland.
A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, management, production and proficiency to the design, build, test and operation phases.
With a focus on precision, durability and innovation you will perform engineering tasks across all product groups and business activities including mechanical, civil, structural, projects, troubleshooting, and R&D.
Responsibilities
Contribute to resolutions to NCRs and Change Management Requests
Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives utilising lean manufacturing methods
Ensure best practice and Australian Standards, Regulations, and Codes are used in engineering outcomes
Ensure products are designed safe, functional and robust in performing their long-term operational tasks
Ensuring engineering tasks meet timeframes
Work effectively with the estimating, sales, project management, design and manufacturing teams
Manage R&D activities within the engineering and design context
Maintain a strong customer focus in order to understand requirements and identify solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years experience in a similar role
Proficient in relevant engineering software including AutoDesk Suite of Software and Space Gass
Working knowledge of the Australian Standards and the National Construction Code
Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
