Warehouse Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in warehouse systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee receipt, stock control, dispatch, and storage operations
* Provide hands-on leadership to a collaborative team of warehouse staff and operators
* Maintain inventory accuracy through regular reconciliation and data entry checks
* Conduct quality checks and ensure all warehouse standards, safety, and housekeeping procedures are met
* Drive continuous improvement in warehouse systems and processes
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including delivery in full on time (DIFOT), order accuracy, and team safety performance
* Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and other departments to ensure alignment across operations
* Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations
Requirements:
* Australian working rights – full and unrestricted
* Valid Australian driver’s licence
* High risk work licence – forklift (LF)
* Experience operating both high reach and counterbalance forklifts
* Leadership skills and experience managing day-to-day warehouse operations
* Relevant qualifications – certificate III in warehousing and logistics highly regarded
* Distribution centre background – solid experience in a high-volume DC preferably with mining or mining equipment
* Logistics experience – proven ability to coordinate inbound/outbound freight and manage inventory flow
* Knowledge of mining logistics operations in Queensland essential
* Technical competency – confidence using warehouse software, WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
* Strong communication skills with excellent verbal and written skills
* Safety commitment – proactive approach to warehouse safety, housekeeping, and compliance
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and obtain a national police check
* Desirable – experience with heavy plant/mining equipment, MR/HR truck licence
