Field Service Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians and apprentices, ensuring high-quality service repairs and aftermarket support for a wide range of CAT machines and CAT Marine engines.
* Manage work order scheduling, execution, and compliance with Caterpillar standards.
* Provide customer warranty support, liaising with clients to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
* Champion safety by enforcing OH&S protocols and conducting risk assessments.
* Use CAT systems (SIS) and IDS (Integrated Dealer Systems) to oversee job tracking, reporting, and documentation.
* Foster a high-performing team culture through coaching, mentoring, and leadership.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Qualified Heavy Duty (HD) trade professional with extensive supervisory experience in mechanical or dealership settings.
* Proven leadership in similar industries, with the ability to inspire, motivate and guide high-performing teams.
* Strong understanding of OH&S protocols and risk assessments, ensuring safety in high-risk environments.
* Skilled in managing dynamic workloads and competing priorities through effective planning and time management.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-first mindset.
* Technically proficient in computer systems for job tracking, reporting, and service coordination.
