At Singleton Council, there is an opportunity described as part of the Future Ready Singleton program to develop skills and experience on the job while studying. Responsibilities
 * Support building certifiers, the Regulatory Team Leader and the Coordinator Regulatory Services in the assessment of building applications within statutory timeframes under direction, the preparation of professional reports and correspondence, and undertake compliance and other statutory functions, as delegated
 * Participate in the provision of customer services, under supervision from a building certifier, team leader or the coordinator regulatory services
 * Participate in administrative training as required to fulfil the role functions, including Council's corporate systems and the NSW Planning Portal
 * Undertaking administrative tasks in accordance with approved procedures to understand the process of development assessment
 * Undertaking supervised inspections
Qualifications
To be considered for this role you will need to be currently enrolled, and studying in an Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying, or equivalent qualification, in your second last or final year. This cadetship is an opportunity to continue studying your qualification whilst you learn on-the-job, with options for flexibility in how that arrangement looks.
Remuneration
Remuneration package for this position is based in accordance with the Local Government (state) Award in the range of $ - $ per week plus 12% superannuation.
