Offer description

Want your legal work to make a real difference in a firm that treats clients as people, not case numbers? Honest Grace Legal is looking for a Solicitor (from graduate / newly admitted up to around 4 years post‑admission experience) to join our team.

Whether you are just starting out or already have a few years' experience, we will shape your workload, training and mentoring to match where you are at in your career.

About Honest Grace Legal

Honest Grace Legal is a multi‑specialty firm handling personal injury, family law, business services, immigration and conveyancing. We are driven by a mission to champion truth, compassion and justice, delivering personalised, transparent and respectful support so clients can navigate their legal journey with confidence and care.

The Role

You will work closely with our senior lawyers across our key practice areas, with a strong emphasis on personal injury and the opportunity to assist in family law, conveyancing, business services and migration, depending on your background and interests.

If you are a graduate or newly admitted, you will receive close supervision, clear guidance and structured opportunities to build confidence and capability.

If you have a few years' PAE, you will step into an active file load, take on more responsibility and grow into a trusted advisor.

You will have genuine client contact, increasing responsibility for your own matters and the chance to grow a well‑rounded practice.

You will:

* Work on active files across our key practice areas
* (As your experience allows) manage your own matters from initial client enquiry through to resolution and file closure
* Review each file with a critical eye, identify the real issues in dispute and develop clear evidence and action plans to move matters forward
* Prepare clear, accurate and timely written work, from client advice and correspondence through to court documents
* Attend and prepare for conferences, mediations, compulsory conferences and hearings (with appropriate supervision and support)
* Maintain regular, compassionate and professional communication with clients, keeping them informed and supported throughout their matter
* Work collaboratively with our broader team to progress matters efficiently and meet deadlines
* Use our practice management system (and carefully governed AI tools) to manage limitation dates, tasks, workflows and document templates
* Assist with business development activities such as community events, seminars or networking with referrers

You will thrive here if you:

* Are a graduate / newly admitted solicitor or have up to around 4 years PAE, with experience or strong interest in at least one of: personal injury, family law, civil litigation or commercial/property
* Hold, or can obtain, a current Queensland practising certificate
* Are a strong writer and communicator who can explain complex issues in plain English and draft clean, court‑ready documents (or are keen to build this skill with feedback and support)
* Are organised and proactive, managing deadlines, following through on actions and asking smart questions early
* Are digitally confident and comfortable using practice management software, Microsoft 365 and AI tools (for drafting, summarising, building templates and reducing repetitive work, always with sound judgment, privacy and confidentiality)
* Care about our values of integrity, transparency, respect, compassion, justice and service
* Have language skills (especially Mandarin or Cantonese), which are highly regarded but not essential

We also welcome applications from strong candidates whose experience comes from clerkships, PLT placements or paralegal roles and who are about to be, or have recently been, admitted.

Why you will love it here:

* Purposeful work, helping clients through some of their hardest moments
* Values‑led culture, where truth, compassion and respect shape how we work with clients and with each other
* Tailored growth and mentorship, from structured learning and close supervision for grads to more autonomy and strategic input as your experience grows
* Smart, modern tools that reduce busywork so you can focus on legal thinking and client care
