Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist Anaesthetists, who will work as part of the Anaesthetics Department across the North West region.
Responsibilities
* Provide anaesthetic services across the North West region, with primary base at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) and involvement in on-call duties.
* Support obstetrics and gynaecology and paediatrics services, with anaesthetic coverage at both NWRH and MCH and emphasis on on-call requirements at NWRH.
* Contribute to a busy general orthopaedic and general surgical service and participate in a rehabilitation/outpatient framework across sites as applicable.
* Engage in opportunities to develop healthcare at patient and system levels within the department and broader health system.
Remuneration and Benefits
* Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 – Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3: $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
* Access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range: $300,216 - $310,389 (subject to criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Levels 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award).
* Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.
* Allowances and benefits calculated on the salaried incremental point may include: salary packaging options (living expenses up to $9,010 and meals/entertainment up to $2,650 per year); private motor vehicle or allowance of $28,786 per annum (pro rata); 35% allowance in lieu of private practice schemes; relocation assistance and accommodation; various leave entitlements including study leave and professional development support; Fitness Passport access for you and your family.
Qualifications
* Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable
* Current Driver's Licence.
Administrative Details
Details of appointment: Permanent full time, day worker (with on call) position, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as able. Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Selection process may be used for similar vacancies for a period of twelve months from the date of publication.
