The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join our Sydney team and contribute to high-profile infrastructure and urban development projects. This is a client-facing role for a technically capable, chartered civil engineer with strong experience in road design, drainage, and pavements, and a solid grounding in project coordination and tender preparation .
Your Role Will Include:
* Leading the design and documentation of roadworks, drainage, and pavement systems using industry-standard software (e.g. 12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD)
* Collaborating with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions
* Managing and reviewing design deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance
* Engaging directly with clients, stakeholders, and authorities to guide project outcomes
* Preparing technical inputs for bids, tenders, and proposals
* Supporting project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
* Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a high-performance team culture
What You Bring:
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or near chartered
* Minimum 8 years’ experience in civil design with a focus on roads, drainage, and pavements
* Strong knowledge of local standards, codes, and authority requirements (e.g. TfNSW, Austroads, local councils)
* Proficiency in design tools such as 12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MUSIC or DRAINS
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Demonstrated experience working in a consultancy environment, with exposure to tendering and project leadership
