About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assistant to join our growing business. You will play a hands-on role in safeguarding the quality of our milk, dairy, and non-dairy products through rigorous testing, compliance checks, and continuous improvement. Working closely with production and quality teams, you will help to validate new products and processes, monitor hygiene standards, and drive quality assurance across every stage of manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct a range of microbiological, chemical, and compositional tests on incoming, in-process, and finished products
· Prepare samples for internal and external analysis and media and reagents for testing requirements
· Calibrate, maintain and perform routine checks on laboratory equipment
· Perform environmental testing to monitor hygiene standards
· Support validation activities for new products, methods and equipment and shelf life
· Assist in cleaning procedure validation (including allergens) and shelf-life studies
· Conduct daily food safety checks in receival, production and storage areas
· Prepare samples for sensory evaluation
· Support quality team with pre-op checks, Internal audits and other activities
· Perform packaging quality checks
· Perform data entry, analysis, and reporting of laboratory and quality checks

Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Dairy or Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field
* Previous experience in food manufacturing and laboratory environment, ideally within long-life shelf-stable or chilled dairy food manufacturing is highly desirable
* Appropriate additional certificates are desirable
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
