Te Haeata/The Opportunity
As a Court Registry Officer, you are an important cog in the justice machine. You will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court and liaise with multiple stakeholders including members of the judiciary, lawyers, and the public.
You'll enjoy the diversity of duties with tasks that include but are not limited to:
* Case management – ensuring files are accurate and up to date, a large component of data entry and sound decision-making.
* Court taking – running the court sessions (in English and Te Reo Māori), working closely with the Judiciary in courtroom and chambers, and general administration of the court.
* Customer Service – interacting with customers on any court related matter via face‐to‐face, phone or email interactions.
The successful candidate is likely to be appointed to the family/civil jurisdiction team, with opportunities to work across teams and to travel on occasion to support other courts in the Wellington Region or wider.

You'll be an excellent communicator with good English and confident Te Reo Māori pronunciation. Confidence using audio visual equipment is also desirable.
You enjoy helping others – you're flexible, calm, and not daunted by the busy courtroom environment.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
Salary Range: The salary band for this position is $60,729 to $80,794, and appointment will be made within that, based on skills and experience.
