Club Sunburyis looking for a Function Co-ordinator to join our fantastic team.
Club Sunbury is a thriving community Club with Bistro, Bar, Gaming, Kiosk, Function Room and Bowling Greens. We pride ourselves on excellent service across all areas and past winner of Bowls Australia Club of the Year.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Function Coordinator to meet with clients, plan and coordinate events right through to execution. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for clients and ensure that every event runs smoothly from start to finish.
This role requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who can build relationships with clients and is committed to sourcing new clientele and growing our business. Our function rooms and Concourse area caters to Community group meetings, weddings, engagement and birthday parties, wakes and Club organised events including Poker, Bowls and Tribute Shows/Bands. This role will keep you on your toes and no day will be the same.
Key Responsibilities
* Meet with clients to understand event requirements, budgets and expectations
* Plan and coordinate all aspects of functions, including venue setup, catering, rostering and all other related logistics
* Maintain function calendar and prepare run sheets for internal use
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and Club policies
* Handle client inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
* Manage event budgets and process invoices where required
Successful candidate will have:
* Experience in a faced paced environment & ability to work a rotating roster with some weekend work
* Outgoing, creative and service orientated personality
* Demonstrated passion and flare for the hospitality industry
* Well spoken, excellent communication & meticulous attention to detail
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* Experience with staff management and rostering
* Exceptional time management skills
* Current RSA.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is not suitable to those straight out of school or have no hospitality experience. Due to occasional late night finishes, our ideal candidate would live within 30minutes of Sunbury and must have full flexibility to work weekends and a rotating roster.
