The Opportunity
The Boeing Airpower Teaming System (ATS) is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage in airborne missions. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.
As we continue to accelerate the development program, and expand the aircraft flight envelope through the test program, we are seeking the very best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds to help grow and contribute to our innovative team.
We have an excellent opportunity for talented Project Managers to join our team. Applicants will have demonstrated experience in managing complex projects. Experience within Defence Industry, Engineering and/or Manufacturing will be favourably regarded.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the planning of new, high priority projects for the ATS Program
- Lead the execution of high priority projects alongside Engineering, Supply Management, Production, Sustainment and Flight Test teams
- Lead and execute change management proposals and projects whilst managing baselines
- Provide effective management and leadership for all project resources and for the entire scope of assigned projects.
- Provide internal and customer reporting on the current status of project performance
- Stakeholder management including customers and sub-contractors.
- Assess, identify and manage project Risk, Issues and Opportunities.
Experience/Qualifications
- Experience in managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management areas including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, supply chain and communication.
- High level communication and negotiation skills with a focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- A willingness to lean forward into problems and to drive continuous improvement.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in a STEM, Business or Management field (desirable)
- NV1 clearance or ability to obtain
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence Security Requirements.
