**About Your New Opportunity**
This is a Controls Officer position that will support the delivery and management of the controls library and register.
You will be responsible for maintaining the register, testing controls in a risk-based approach, and conducting regular risk and control self-assessments and associated remediation actions.
Reporting to the Head of Controls, you will:
* Support business leaders by reviewing and revising controls;
* Implement processes to improve controls for adequate risk and compliance management;
* Co-ordinate efforts to ensure the control environment aligns with process and complies with regulations and internal policies;
* Identify, assess, and manage risks in line with risk management frameworks, policies, ICMs, and SOPs;
* Report on control testing outcomes;
* Conduct regular risk and control self-assessments and document/report remedial actions as needed;
* Optimise key control performance and decision-making by providing clear control success measures with targets and meaningful insights;

What You'll Need:
* An undergraduate degree in a legal, commercial, or business field (desirable);
* Previous experience advising on control suitability for processes, including design, implementation, and ongoing management;
* Experience as a risk operations control officer, risk or compliance officer within a large organisation, complex, highly regulated environment;
* Understanding and experience implementing business drivers for problem-solving;
* Ability to interpret data and information;
* Ability to provide audit reports and analysis on the business;
* Ability to communicate and implement statutory processes;
