About the Role
Reporting to the National GM Transport, you will be responsible for the planning, allocating and monitoring of the daily distribution into Melbourne and Regional Victorian areas, with your remit to include the following:
* Monitor and maintain relationships with the delivery network
* Ensuring the transport solutions deliver the highest customer service levels
* Provide input to company freight/transport development activities
* Monitors Work Health Safety (WHS) conformance including Chain of responsibility (CoR)
* Ensure that the daily distribution schedule for both metro and regional are optimised
* Prepare and manage transport rosters and the resource planning
* Work closely with production and the sales forecast system
* Ensure stock control and inventory reports are updated and communicated daily
* Ensure new customer enquiry and onboarding process is implemented
* Visits customer sites to explore new business possibilities
About You
* Leadership experience within a logistics/supply-chain role
* Distribution/route management experience
* Excellent written and oral communication – Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Customer service focus with a high level of attention to detail
* Good prioritisation, problem solving and analytical skills
