The position of Site Operations Supervisor has become available within our waste management facilities. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to take the next step in their career by supervising and leading a team of professionals.
The successful candidate will oversee daily disposal activities, maintain site infrastructure, and drive continuous improvement to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of landfill and recycling operations. Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising personnel and contractors engaged in solid waste disposal operations.
* Maintaining landfill infrastructure and assisting with all onsite maintenance and repair.
* Ensuring workplace safety compliance and utilizing personal protective equipment as required.
* Maintaining access roads, signage, and traffic control, and ensuring efficient management of recycling areas.
* Implementing opportunities for continuous improvements in all facets of site operations.
* Providing high-quality customer service and undertaking regular inspections to evaluate conditions and implement changes within delegated authority.
* Assisting with maintenance of accurate records on materials, equipment, and personnel usage, and coordinating projects with contractors and suppliers.
* Supervising specific projects as directed by the supervisor.
* Developing a teamwork approach and undertaking administrative duties including purchasing requisitions and timesheet authorisation.
* Supporting the development and implementation of annual work programs and plans.
