Description About the role: You will work in a team of full stack architects and technology architects, reporting to the Senior Leader, Technology Architecture. Your key accountability is for you to proactively and holistically lead and support enterprise architecture activities for our Payments Platform that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions and technology platforms Key responsibilities include: Analyse the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and recommend solutions for improvement. Lead the activities to translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work. Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models. Be the Key facilitator of our architecture centre of excellence, guiding and helping agile teams, product owners to align with the overall enterprise architecture governance and assurance. Lead technology change to deliver business outcomes while also virtually leveraging subject matter experts from any other needed technical area. Oversee, or consult on, technology implementation and modification activities (for example, projects and products), particularly for new or shared platforms and solutions. Consult on development projects to harmonise systems or infrastructure with the enterprise technology architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the technology architecture to accommodate immediate or future project needs. About you: You will ensure that our technology architecture and the solutions built on it continuously align to and enable the goals and objectives of the business strategy and strategic plan, and merger integration plan; adhere to our compliance and risk management obligations; are flexible, secure, resilient, performant, of lowest possible complexity and cost effective, and deliver business value at pace. Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrable experience in identifying, articulating, and designing solutions in payments platform Demonstrable experience in supporting multiple, transformational programs of work. Demonstrable experience of applying modern architecture frameworks, methodologies, modelling languages and reference architectures. Demonstrable experience of working in both agile and waterfall delivery approaches at enterprise scale. Industry certification within the architecture domain (e.g. TOGAF, SABSA, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.). Experience of senior technical roles in large, complex transformation or merger & acquisition programmes in an enterprise environment.
