About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager to work closely with our newly appointed Partner as they grow our local Research and Development (R&D) & government incentives capability. As a manager, you will lead client portfolios, strengthen relationships, and drive business process planning to optimise R&D funding. You'll also help shape the future of the practice, mentor junior staff, and further develop your consulting and leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead client engagements to identify and optimise tax incentives and government grants based on innovative technology activities.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and strategic advice.
* Interpret and apply relevant legislation to assess eligible R&D activities and expenditure.
* Act as the main contact for finance and technical stakeholders, ensuring effective information sharing and collaboration.
* Provide coaching and support to junior team members.
* Partner with the new leader to meet practice goals and contribute to business development initiatives.
About You
* Experienced at Manager level within an R&D tax team, preferably in a Big 4 or Mid‐tier environment.
* Strong communication and relationship management skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
* Comfortable working with technical concepts and translating them for different audiences.
