Senior Financial Accountant
Qscan Group is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services. We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy, insight and innovation across Qscan's financial operations. The role is based at the Clayfield Support Office.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the month‐end close process, producing timely and accurate management reports for multiple business units.
* Maintain and reconcile general ledgers and fixed asset registers, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and long‐term planning initiatives that guide strategic growth.
* Assist in taxation compliance (Income Tax, FBT, GST) and year‐end audit preparation.
* Provide data‐driven financial insights to drive efficiency, performance and business improvement.
* Mentor and review junior finance team members, fostering capability and growth.
* Assist with the preparation and presentation of corporate overhead reports to Senior Stakeholders.
* Champion process improvement and system optimisation initiatives, supporting Qscan's culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
* CA/CPA qualification or progression towards it.
* +5 years of proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a multi‐entity or complex business environment.
* Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Taxation and Compliance requirements.
* Track record of driving process improvements and implementing change.
* Advanced Excel and financial systems skills; experience with Microsoft Business Central is desirable.
* Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team‐oriented mindset.
