Job Description
The Centre for Healthcare Resilience and Implementation Science (CHRIS) is seeking an experienced Research Officer for an innovative project that aims to increase vaccination uptake in primary care for vulnerable populations.
The Research Officer will work closely with investigators, clinicians, healthcare consumers, and stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate strategies that make a tangible difference in community health outcomes.
About the Role
* Help develop, implement, and evaluate tailored strategies to increase vaccination rates for COVID-19, influenza, pneumococcus, and shingles in primary care settings.
* Engage in co-design processes with healthcare consumers to create impactful, patient-centred interventions.
* Collect, analyse, and synthesize data to assess project effectiveness.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and healthcare stakeholders.
* Contribute to ethics applications, peer-reviewed publications, and public presentations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in public health, health services research, service evaluation, medical science, or related discipline.
* Demonstrated research experience preferably conducted within a University or Medical Research Institute.
* Demonstrated understanding of the Australian primary healthcare system.
* Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated computer skills including spreadsheets, database programs, statistics, and word processing.
* Some understanding of qualitative health or mixed methods research.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
