**The Pricing & Customer Value team business partners within the Buying division of Supermarkets, Woolworths Food Company, Finance, IT & Strategy teams. As a team, we support the optimisation of pricing opportunities for the Woolworths Supermarkets division with a strong focus on building continued price trust with our customers and maintaining Woolworths' competitiveness in the market.

**About the Role
**As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in the COGs team, partnering with the commercial teams to analyse and interpret cost increase submissions from suppliers to deliver the best possible financial outcomes for our customers and our business. It will provide exposure to senior commercial forums and insights into the commercial negotiation process. Your recommendations will focus on building continued price trust with our customers and maintaining Woolworths' competitiveness in the market.
**Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- **Framing problems, gathering, and analysing complex data, and developing insights and recommendations to support the PCV team's mandate within the business**:
- **Becoming a trusted advisor to the Buying team, by injecting analytical rigour and innovative thinking into the issues the business faces, and proactively finding and landing opportunities to add value**:
- **Scoping, developing, and maintaining various solutions for the business, including models, reports and dashboards**:
- **Contributing to the knowledge environment within the Pricing & Customer Value team and the broader Buying team, including training team members and business partners in new concepts and solutions**:
- **Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

**About you
**You are currently an experienced & highly motivated Assistant Category Manager, Forecast Analyst, or Finance Analyst looking to further develop your career within the Woolworths Buying Team.
**You share our customer-first, and team-first culture, and enjoy influencing stakeholders and peers on alternative methodologies and strategies that may not be the norm within the business.
**You are a strategic and commercial thinker, a strong business partner, demonstrate personal effectiveness, and have an agile & growth mindset.
**You will also have**:
- **Previous experience in pricing, costing, finance, or commercial role, in fast-paced retail or FMCG environment**:
- **Ability to manage large data sets and develop complex analyses**:
- **Ability to draw on data and analyses to develop actionable insights and recommendations**:
- **Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and MS Powerpoint / Google Slides**:
- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders**:
- **Ability to prioritise, deliver to tight deadlines and thrive in a challenging environment**:
- **"Can do" attitude in the face of challenges**:
- **Aptitude for learning, having the ability and willingness to learn quickly
