Safety Policy Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Safety Policy Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments and making high-level decisions regarding product safety policies.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Legal teams to integrate legal and safety analysis in support of key policy decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about ensuring customer safety and has experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct product safety risk assessments across various product categories
* Make informed decisions regarding product safety policies to meet regulatory obligations and enhance customer safety
* Perform data analysis from diverse sources to identify potential risk indicators supporting policy decisions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate Amazon's safety strategies to stakeholders
* Maintain regular communication with leadership and ensure consistent reporting against commitments

Requirements:

* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
* Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
* Experience leveraging technology and implementing process improvements using lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies
* Master's degree or equivalent
* 10+ years of compliance, audit, or risk management experience
