Job Title: Pipe Fitter
Thales is committed to building a safe and sustainable future. We are currently seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate, assemble, install and maintain pipework systems in support of naval vessel repair operations.
* Operate various types of workshop machinery and equipment such as hydraulic benders, threading machines, and more.
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
* Develop and enhance the skills of apprentices within the team.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting new ideas and methods for improving processes and efficiency.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Plumbing
* Experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (Certificate III Welding/Fabrication advantageous)
* Hold Forklift, Dogman, working at heights, and confined spaces tickets (advantageous)
* Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
* Previous experience in ship repair or heavy industry highly regarded.
