As the Principal Advisor, Job Evaluation, you will provide high level industrial relations, human resource and employee relations advisory and support services.
What you'll do
Provide leadership and high-level project management skills in the initiation, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects in line with Queensland Health approved project management methodologies.
Lead and manage critical projects and/or project This role will have initial focus on job redesign, role evaluations, and job classification that will include, but not limited to:
Undertake job design/redesign and development that is customised to align to the new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce classification structure.
Design, coordinate and conduct job evaluations to ensure consistent and correctly classified role descriptions relevant to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce stream.
Lead job evaluation matters, initiatives and projects that may include management of disputed outcomes and resolution of complex and emergent issues.
Provide high level advice, support and training to senior leaders, managers, staff and unions to support the effective and consistent delivery of job evaluation services.
**As a member of the Workforce Relations and Policy Unit**:
establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholder groups, including the Office of First Nations Health, senior executives, Hospital and Health Service/Divisional Human Resources teams and unions.
provide human resource and employee relations advisory and support services, including critical and sensitive advice on issues of a significant or complex nature impacting the Queensland Health workforce to senior executive and managerial stakeholders state wide.
plan, develop and manage, projects and initiatives impacting the Queensland Health workforce, including providing high level support in the implementation of whole of government human resource and industrial relations policy and initiatives across Queensland Health.
About you
**We are searching for someone with**:
Demonstrated high level experience and expertise in job analysis, role description design, job evaluation methodology, JEMS or similar.
Highly developed communication and oral presentation skills including the ability to write high quality, concise reports, briefs, correspondence, instructional materials and resources that are tailored to the level of knowledge, skill and experience of the audience.
Demonstrated record of achievement in providing high level advisory and support services to senior stakeholders on a range of human resource and industrial relations matters.
A genuine desire and ability to work with and sustain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, inclusive of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in relation to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce industrial relations agenda.
