We're seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager, with an IT background, to lead our operations, drive business growth, and ensure exceptional service delivery across multiple locations primarily in Queensland. This role reports to the CEO and suits a confident leader who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and excels at building strong teams, strong client relationships, and strong commercial outcomes.
The General Manager oversees day‐to‐day operations while shaping long‐term business direction. You'll lead a diverse workforce, strengthen client partnerships, and ensure our service standards remain consistently high. This is a hands‐on leadership role with significant influence and the opportunity to drive meaningful organisational improvement. The role is based in Cairns and is very competitively remunerated.

Business Growth & Strategic Leadership
Expand the company's footprint, revenue, profitability, and client base.
Develop and implement strategies that improve operational performance, reporting, and staff efficiency.
Operational Oversight
Oversee daily service delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance.
Act as the senior escalation point for service issues, complaints, and operational challenges.
Lead planning, scheduling, and coordination of projects.
Relationship & People Management
Build strong relationships with staff, contractors, clients, and key stakeholders.
Set expectations for culture, communication, and customer service excellence.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management in partnership with HR.
Support onboarding of new clients, contracts, and service locations.
Improve operational processes, workflows, and escalation pathways.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Provide dashboard reporting and regular performance updates to the CEO.
Ensure safety compliance and stock integrity across all areas.
Conduct regular depot visits to support training, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Skills & Experience
>5 years' experience in leadership role/s
Strong IT knowledge base is essential. Experience as a technician in some capacity is preferred.
Experience using Xero.
Strong capability with Microsoft Suite, including Teams and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with rostering platforms (e.g. Deputy).
Familiarity with customer management systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365.
Experience in multi‐site operations, service delivery, contract‐based environments, and stock management is highly regarded.
